I was so sorry to hear that Vera has passed away. We were good friends over the years . I always remember her cheerfulness and her smile. She was a popular woman and she will be missed but she wont be forgotten. I was happy to know her and will always have memories of her.

Sadly, Another icon has passed from the Irish St. / Market St. childhood memories. My fondest memories of your mum was going to school in the mornings in the 60s/70s when we were lucky day to have 2d (old money) to go to the shop for pear drops and of course Xmas time going shopping for Santa’s presents with my mother Una...being the big sister. Magical times at the Rogers Xmas shop upstairs. Magical and fond memories. Your mum Vera was a lady. May she RIP. X

She was a wonderful lady as well I remember her when she had the shop in Ardee and my granddaughter Ciara used to call in every day in December to arrange the toys upstairs just to see the toys. Vera was always so kind to all her friends.
