To dear Declan, Orla, Lynn, Barry and Rona I offer my deepest sympathy and support at this difficult time. Aunty Vera was one of a kind and just the best aunty to have. I will always treasure our childhood memories and more recently my visits when home from Australia.

It is a truly sad time for all of you, but you can be comforted by the love and regard held for Vera by so many. She was a second Mammy to me and Pat and Auntie Vera to my children, even at this distance. You can all be proud of the care and love you have showered on Vera over the last few challenging years. She is at rest now and no one deserves rest and peace more than our lovely Auntie Vera.

So sorry to hear of your mums death We enjoyed many a night in lombard st west which was a house and home of great hospitality ,ruled over by vera who never stinted on food and good humour The light of heaven to her and solace to you all .especially Lynn her much loved companion

We had many a good chat over the years and Noeleen and I were so glad to get to see her in the hospital over Christmas. Lynn you were so good to your Mam, with Barry she will mind you now. I had the pleasure of cutting Vera’s hair for some years in her own friendly and welcoming home. Plenty of tea and lively chat. A smart and strong woman.

So many lovely memories of our wonderful Auntie Vera stretching back into all our childhoods. Always welcoming, always a full table of food, and she was always there for everyone. She was very dearly loved by all of us especially our Mam Kitty and Dad Rafe, her brother. She was one of a kind and we will remember her always with great love and affection. RIP. Heartfelt condolences to Declan, Orla, Lynn,Rona and Barry and her lovely grandchildren and great grandson. A truly great lady. XXX
