My parents, Edwin and Helen, were good friends with your Mum and Dad in my younger years and I have fond memories of visiting your family home in Aughrim when I was growing up. I remember your Mum as such a stylish, kind and gracious lady. Having lost my own Mum last year, I know too well the pain you’re feeling. To Elizabeth, John and Jimmy and Veronica’s children, I’m so sorry to hear of Veronica’s death. We go way back to the ‘50s when we cycled to Dun Laoghaire baths. I have great memories of Veronica such an elegant and sophisticated lady. I met her some years ago in the RDS for lunch and we had a lovely day.
