We’re all very sorry following the death of Fr Tom.

Fr Tom and his brother, Fr John, touched the lives of the people of Murroe-Boher and led the community in a manner that those of us who were privileged to know them will never forget.

God reward them for their lives of service close to the people - wise, warm and witty - but also close to God as holy and devout pastors.

Sad to read this obituary for Fr. Tom Ryan, I have very good and fond memories of Fr. Tom as he was the chairperson of the BOM Murroe NS while worked there. A most sincere , helpful and very spiritual man. My sincere sympathy to all his family, relations, friends ,the community and his religious colleagues .

Memories return when we loose someone.
I grew up in Rearcross ( Ryan Vora) and have only good memories of all my contacts with Fr Tommy, and all the Ryan family .
When Liam and I married it was our privilege to have Fr Tommy as our priest. Liam a Cashel man and Fr Tommy had the GAA connection through Cashel King Cormacs. It was a privilege to know him.

As a young man in Shanbally he was one of our great neighbours as All the Ryan were, it was enriching to spend time in him company. He had the most interesting stories, and a such wonderful memory for times past.
Fr Tom was a very special man with a wonderful understanding for all people he met and spoke to.

The rest setting has called for Fr Ryan, it is the eternal rest setting given by the lord, in the name of Mary, Joseph and the lord. I was decorating a room for himself around the time he became Canon, I accidentally put the wrong colour on the ceiling and Fr Tom was not best pleased. From then on I called him Canon Ball, we would laugh for hours and it was a great moment. He always had time for the setting.

RIP Fr. Tom. An absolute gentleman and charachter. Fr. Tom was adored by all generations in Murroe and beyond. Id say he sat in everyones kitchen at some point. We have very fond memories of Fr.Tom since we blew in to Murroe.

He will be greatly missed. RIP.

I was very sad to hear of the passing of Fr. Tom. He was a great friend to our family, especially to my Dad, and his kindness and presence meant so much to us over the years. Fr. Tom had a wonderful interest in farming, in sport, in community, and most of all in people, and this gift allowed him to fit so naturally and comfortably into every parish in which he ministered. May he now receive a safe and peaceful journey home to the Good Lord, whom he served so faithfully.
