Kindly helped me when I was doing a college project a number of years ago. When I would meet him in the years that followed, he would always have time for a chat. A good man who got things done. God rest Donal. Condolences to the family.

So sorry to hear of Fr. Donal's passing, RIP. Sincere Condolences to his much loved family, whom he spoke of on a regular basis, may the many cherished memories you have help get you through this difficult time. I have such fond memories of Fr. Donal from him time in the Seminary in Maynooth from a 1st year Seminarian to having the privilege of attending his Ordination, such a proud day for Fr. Donal and his family. His curiosity with computers when they were first introduced across campus, calling daily for a cuppa or a chat to the IT Dept, Campus Services and the Lodge. He continued this practice when he was Ordained, he would call for a cup of milk and a catch up each time he returned to campus. I have no doubt that his kindness, laughter and quick wit have left a lasting impression on all who were lucky enough to have met or dealt with Fr. Donal during his Ministry. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

To Eammon, Kathleen and the Morris Family, I was sorry to hear about Donal, I always enjoyed his Masses, he always made them relevant. May he rest in peace.

Donal was a lovely person to know may he rip condolences to all he family

I knew Donal from he was a very young child. We lived a short walk away from each other in Walkinstown Dublin and Donal was a super kid. We both ended up living in Roscommon and Donal would regularly visit our house at lunchtime because we were the townies as he would put it. Donal always had a great sense of humour and just like his dad Donal had a very robust joyous laugh. We had great fun on those lunch breaks when he would visit our house and we also had great fun as little children in Walkinstown. Hard to believe we followed the same path in life from Walkinstown to Roscommon. I will always remember the good times we shared, and I know Donal’s warmth, humour, and kindness will be missed by all who knew him. My thoughts are with his family at this difficult time. Donal’s spirit and the memories we made will live on in all of us who had the privilege of knowing him.

Fr Donal possessed an exceptional gift of ministry to the sick and the bereaved and he will be fondly remembered for this.
He always strove for perfection in his work and this was reflected in the many changes he made to our Church and parochial house in St Johns and to our school in Rahara.
He was very forward thinking and was instrumental in setting up phone contracts for teachers, school staff and Board of Management members.
He had a great sense of humour and he took great pleasure in rubbing in Oran wins over Dominic's especially the Cumann na mbunscol ones.
He was a great family man and
he always spoke fondly about his adored nephews and nieces.
May all who mourn his passing take solace from the happy memories you have of him.
May God grant FR Donal eternal rest and give you all the strength to bear this great loss.

I am so sorry to hear of Fr Donals passing. I have always fondly remembered him as the lighthearted and caring visiting priest in CA. His stories from the hills of beautiful Ireland and his family have made me, my family, and all our parish smile and have filled our hearts with peace. He was always quick with a smile, encouraging word, joke, or wink whatever the situation called for. He was a kind and generous soul making all those around him enriched in Gods love. I’m grateful his journey brought him to my family and my parish.
