I was so deeply saddened to learn today of the sad passing of Victor R.I.P. I first met Victor in September 1973 when I came, as the first lay teacher to St.Mary's Primary School,Buttevant. Helen, Victor and myself and Fiona and Gerard,who were very young at the time became, from the word go, the very best of friends and we had wonderful years until I came back down to Limerick in 1981.We continued to remain great friends and I could never pass Buttevant on my way to Mallow or Cork without popping up to say hello to the wonderful person Victor was.The first Christmas Card to arrive here every year faithfully was always from Victor. So to Fiona,Gerard and your Families my deepest and sincere sympathies on the passing of my dear,dear friend. I know he is united now with his beloved Helen,whom I also have such beautiful memories of . May His Gentle,Beautiful Soul Rest in Peace.

Our sincere sympathy to Fiona & Paul, Ger & Mary and his 4 grandchildren of whom he was so proud. I have known Victor for close on 50 years as a good friend & colleague firstly in Buttevant Concrete in the 1970s & then in Credit Union where he served as a director & secretary for many years until the merger in 2016. We travelled together all over the country to the annual credit union conventions and I enjoyed every minute in his company. I am sorry i will be unable to attend his funeral due to mobility issues, but you all will be in my thoughts & prayers .May his gentle soul rest in peace. ( Pat )
