Vince and I both started our working lives on the 10th of August 1967 at the Bristol Siddeley apprentice training centre, Quinton Road Coventry. We met on the pavement, both of us unsure where to report to. I was therefore the very first person to speak to Vince at work, and he was the very first person to speak to me, something that formed a special bond between us and something we would often reminisce over during the years of friendship that followed. I was so very sorry to learn of his passing. God speed Vince.
