Deepest sympathy to all who mourn Vincent. As a child, I remember Vincent attending Mass in Cill na Martra in full uniform, while holidaying on the farm, where he worked before joining the army. He looked so dapper. Tabhair suaimhneas síoraí dó, a Thiarna.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Vincent. I had the pleasure of serving with Vincent in the old barracks in cavan in the early 70,s and always found him to be an outstanding soldier, a real gentleman and a very reliable man.

Very sad to hear the news of Vincent’s passing. Vincent was a gentleman who welcomed me to Cavan Barracks in my FCA days and made me and others feel at home. Encouraged me to join Cavan Town FC was always helpful and kind. I was so pleased to have him at my passing out in Templemore after I had joined AGS. He was such a positive influence in my young life. I will be always eternally greatful to have had him as a friend. My condolences to his family and friends. May you rest in peace Vincie.

Sincere condolances the Drumm family and Ballincollig AFC, Vince was great help to me when I started coaching shoolboys many years ago, from organising the pitches, getting the nets out, showing me how to put them up as they were not up corrrectly, cleaning out dressing rooms, advice on the ref etc. an encyclopedia of knowledge and had a warmth, wit and cheekiness about him. Such a loss to the community and Ballincollig AFC.
