Nora and I offer our sincere condolences to Vincent's family; I have known him since 1950 when he and Charlie Dillon were demonstrators to engineering students in UCD. I had the pleasure of driving Mary and Vincent from Mullingar to Shelbourne Park in 1955. His stories about Africa and Corsica amused his many friends. I have lost a loyal and good-humored friend. We last met at our monthly lunch in McCormacks.

What a nice man and what a fine funeral service, a fitting tribute to a father where the love and friendship shone through despite limitations and attendance constraints of these days. My sympathies to Dermot and Fahy family on losing Vincent. I'm sure that the forever twinkle in his eye will remain long in memory.

Pat & I had the good fortune to meet up with Vincent on a week long holiday in Montocatini Italy in 2017.As I was also a Fahy but no relation,we had alot to talk about.We exchanged stories,laughed alot & had a memorable holiday.Im sad to hear of Vincents passing.I have no doubt that he will bring his graet humour & kindness to his place of eternal rest.May Vincent rest in peace.

Condolences to the Fahy family on the passing of Vincent. I had the pleasure of working with Vincent in the 60s and 70s in Dundalk. Always a true gentleman who did everything with great style. Living in Dundalk then could be tense at times but there was great companionship among ESB staff which helped us all deal with the situation. Many a good night was spent in Tom Sexton's pub in Chapel street where Vincent would regale us with a rendition of The West Awake-happy memories.
