Sincere sympathy to Peggy and family May Vincent rest in peace.
Sincere sympathy to all of the Finnegan family on the death of Vincent ,He was an absolute gentleman and in his business life a professional to his fingertips. I first came across him in the late 1980s and right through the 1990s I was a member of a body that used and relied on his expertise in the property and auctioneering area. As the relationship grew and the volume of work increased, his knowledge and common sense advice was of great benefit to us all. His thoroughness and genuine goodness as a person when carrying out valuations on our behalf occasionally led to some very helpful additions to our store of knowledge about a particular situation. His gentle attitude and easy manner sometimes led people he met to reveal additional local knowledge about a situation that might not ever emerge in correspondence .His work was always meticulous and delivered in a straight and honest manner , a trait that was not always prevalent in the Irish auctioneering world of those years. Away from his day job , Vincent was very good company and on a number of occasions I was lucky enough to enjoy a round of golf with him around his beloved Elm Park. The golf may not always have been of the highest standard but the pints and the great company in the bar afterwards more than made up for that . R.I.P. John Dalton

To all the Finnegan family I offer my deepest sympathies on the passing of one of nature’s gentlemen. He was always in good form game for a laugh and great company. He was a proud CUS boy and great supporter of the PPU. It was a privilege to have known him as he was such a special person
May his gentle soul rest in peace and may you his family be comforted by the fact he was so admired and loved by so many.

Deepest sympathy on the passing of Vincent . Fond memories of great times in Lansdowne many years ago . In our thoughts and prayers at this time
My sincere sympathy to Peg, David, Annalise, Robert, Vinnie and Jordan and the extended Finnegan family on your great loss.
Peg and Vincent were my next door neighbours for 33 years and I could not have asked for better - Vincent rushed to our aid whenever we or our dogs needed help. He was gracious, gentle, witty and wise, and himself and Peg were the best of company - their house was welcoming, relaxed, calm and always entertaining.
He will be sorely missed since he played cricket, rugby, golf, and helped so many in buying or selling their house.

We are so very sad to hear of Vincent’s passing. Vincent was indeed one in a million and one of life’s true gentlemen. He was kind, patient, caring and had a wonderful sense of humour with a laugh that was utterly contagious.
I was very fortunate to be both his niece and goddaughter. Vincent along with Peg, was there for all of my milestones from christening, communion, debs, 21st, wedding and many events since. He was not just an uncle and godfather but he was a friend also to myself, Peter and our boys. His endless energy and patience at playing football with them or teaching them piano or boxing remains deeply cherished by all of us.
Vincent, thank you for everything. I hope you’re playing piano somewhere tonight with a pint beside you and that gorgeous laugh bringing joy to all around you.
To Peg, Annelise, David, Robert, Vinny and all your families, our very deepest sympathies on your great loss.
Much love,
Gillian, Peter, Matthew, Ollie and Andrew xxx

We were very saddened to hear of Vincent's passing. He was somebody we all had found memories of. Vincent made time for everyone young or old, he was very conscientious. One of the lasting memories will be his laugh. He always seemed to be in good form and quick with a joke. Our thoughts are with all the family. He was one of a kind. I know you will miss him dearly. Thinking of you all in this difficult time. Love to all, London Barrys.
