To Karen and all the McKeon family - sincere condolences on the sad loss of Vinno.
Sincere sympathy to all the Mc Keon family on the sad and untimely passing of Vinnie. A lovely family. Vincent(Snr) and Anne were my first employers in The Ormond Hotel, Nenagh. Great memories of a lovely family. Thinking of you all at this difficult time. Rest in peace Vinnie.

Vinnie is fondly remembered in Nenagh Éire Óg as an exceptional juvenile hurler and we were saddened to hear of his untimely passing. May he rest in peace.

The Dub that played hurling
Vincent was a remarkable blow in to our school in Nenagh CBS. Not only was he from Dublin and as such was a rare specimen, but he also was a full blown hurling player, strong and skilful.
Besides his sporting prowess, he was also a funny, warm and caring person. His smile would light up any room. Long after he'd decamped back to Dublin, I'd meet him haphazardly over the years and that smile and general warm turn of phrase would always leave you better off for having bumped into him.
The notice of his untimely death is unwelcome as much as it is a mark of how short our time is. When I think of Vincent, I'm reminded of happier times and that in itself is a testament to the man and his effect on people.

To all the Mckeon family,I am so sorry to hear of Vinny's passing.
I am still in shock to be honest.
It's years since we met,but it only seems like yesterday, when we won the Tipperary co u/16 final together, with our club,Nenagh Eire og.
Vinny was a teak tough fullback and anyone that marked him, knew it.He had a brilliant game on the day.
We were great friends and neighbours for a few years before he moved back to Dublin, with his family.
Even though we hadn't met in many years, the memories of friendship will live with us all forever.

Sincerest sympathy to the extended McKeon family. I was extremely saddened to hear of Vinnie’s untimely passing. It was a great honour and privilege to have played behind him from the very beginning of his illustrious hurling career at both school and club level. Vinnie was an outstanding defender and a lovely person to have known both on and off the pitch. I have many fond and vivid memories of him. Rest in Peace Vinnie.

I was so shocked & saddened to hear of the tragic passing of Vino McKeon. What a legend ! I had the pleasure of Vino, “ marking” me every week in training on Mobhi Road. A tough as teak full back. Such a great sociable character too. A great story teller who will be very sadly missed by one and all.

So sorry to hear the terrible news about Vino’s passing. He was a great character and a true friend of all of us. I have many fond memories of the craic we had both on and off the playing fields. We will all miss him.
Sincerest condolences to all the extended McKeon family on the very sad and sudden passing of a very popular past member and friend Vincent.
‘Vino’ was an exceptionally talented underage player and progressed from our minor hurling championship winning team in 1981 to our senior hurling team and he played at the highest level over many years. A gifted sportsman, Vino excelled at all sports and pastimes, whether it was racketball, snooker or darts. It was no surprise that he settled into a career based on his love of golf. Vino’s sociable manner made him popular with all who met him and he will be sorely missed by us all.
