Sincere condolences to Bridie and the family on Uncle Vincent’s passing. I have very fond memories of him and still recall his lovely gentle personality and love for life. He will leave a large void in your lives, hopefully all your memories will be a comfort for you.

Bridie, Eamonn, Cahill and Sinead, I'm so sorry for the loss of Vincent, your dear husband and Dad. Mr O'Neil was always such a lovely gentle presence in your house. He always had a big smile for me whenever he came home from work in the early evening and I was there (which was pretty much all the time) - and always with a twinkle in his eye. We shared a mutual love of After Eights which he was always happy to dispense to me secretly (he will always be associated with them for me, especially at Christmas when they seemed to be even more plentiful in the O' Neil household!). I'm very grateful to both Vincent and Bridie for the openness and warmth they extended to me in their home - for all the trips to Brittas Bay and swimming trips and videos in the SHARP VCR! He was a real part of my childhood and I feel honoured to have known him. I know he was a deeply loving Dad to my dearest friend Sinead, of whom he was so proud. May he rest forever in peace. With love and gratitude.

Dear Bridie, Eamonn, Cathal & Sineád, so sad to hear the news about Uncle Vincent’s passing. He was a true gentleman & I’ve very fond memories of his kindness as a child. Firstly, as a thoughtful storyteller & then during his time working at ‘Ferguson’ we always looked forward to all the ‘hi-tech goodies’ that came our way at Christmas! Sending you all my sincerest condolences at this sad time.

Really lovely memories of Uncle Vincent, he was a calm and steady presence in my childhood and always made me feel safe. As an adult now, you appreciate those things in a whole new way, and I will always remember him with love. x
