Very sorry to hear of the sudden passing of Vinnie “Reddin”. What a colourful and entertaining character. Some great recent memories and going back to childhood days at various motorsport, music and local ‘hostelry’ events. We were due to meet up middle of August.
Sincere condolences to Helen and the family circle and many friends.

The pen portrait of Vinnie Reddin by Liam Collins in the Sunday Indo is so true to the real Vinnie Reddin. Vinnie was a unique character with a deep interest in politics. I knew him in the Labour Party in the '90s. He was living in east Ballymun at the time and was very colourful. Well informed and entertaining, he was a great man out canvassing and to meet him at league of Ireland matches especially when Pats were playing. Long time since we met maybe because he was often in Wicklow. Another good man gone. My condolences to all his family, to Claire and to his friends. Rest easy Vinnie and thanks for everything.
