Although I knew Vinnie over decades, we did not meet or chat regularly, but with Vinnie you got that big generous smile and a friendly welcome no matter how long the gap. Well I had the pleasure of being Vincent’s Aunt and Godmother -I was also his babysitter for many years, even then he was so placid and always smiling. Dear Sylvia, Sean, Bill, Nina, Emer, Elaine & John and the rest of the extended family, I am so saddened by the passing of my dear cousin Vinny. He had a huge personality and was larger than life. I loved getting together with Vinny and Sylvia when I was home, he was such a good man and generous to a fault. I am so happy I got to see him in July when I was home last year. He was a warm and larger than life character. We were aware that Vinne was ill but it was still a shock to hear the very sad news. Sleep well Vinne.

Vinny was a huge character, and generous to a fault. I will always remember how generous he was when my Father passed away, as he walked me around Lidl picking up things that he thought we would need, and wouldn’t let me pay for anything, and always checking in with my Mam. Also all the Turkeys and Hams that were given over the years for Christmas Day. I even worked in Gold Medal Meats for a while when I needed some money, he took me on, no problem.
His loss is huge, and he fought the good fight. May he RIP and fly high…💕
