Sincere sympathy to the Togher families on the passing of vinnie.

Vinny was a beloved brother-in-law to Marge and Uncle to Vanessa and Shane.

We have so many lovely memories of Vinny whether when on family holidays to Tuam or the infamous Dingle Bay reunion ( It did rain every single day ! ) Or as innocent teenagers visiting him in Amsterdam in the late 1980’s., where we would embark on very scenic tours of the city ! Vinny was always so generous with his time and very curious about others opinions and ideas. Shane remembers his love of Science fiction and discussing lots of different books. Also he was ahead of his time in tech with all his gadgets and love of computers and mix tapes.

It was always such great fun to be surrounded by all the siblings when they were together, with the banter and jokes and Vinny often at the heart of it all. His gift for story telling and long drawn out jokes seemed like a real life Dave Allen. On one occasion Vinny embarked on his infamous monkey in space joke to a large table of the family at a restaurant, by the end all the customers were listening as he embellished the story with lots of very physical actions! The punch line left everyone in hysterics and to top it all a large cabinet then fell off the wall!!!

To his nieces and nephews he always seemed to have a fun outlook on life, marching forward with his pipe in his mouth as we tried to keep up, then waiting for the embarrassing random shout of “Up the Yard” at the top of his voice!

Vinny thanks for all the memories. We will miss you.
