My first day in Aer Rianta back in 89.
I was introduced to Vinny.. He took the time to show me around and brought me on a tour of the Control Tower, that He worked on.. He was very proud of that Project.

We had the pleasure of working on the Original Cork Airport- Phase 2.and many other Projects over the years back in the 90s. Had some great laughs, played Golf and had plenty of fun along the way.

I was shocked and saddened to hear the news that Vinny had passed away so suddenly. I had the pleasure of working on many educational projects with him in the past, including Drumcondra National School and St Oliver Plunkett's NS in Malahide ( a very challenging, multi-phased new school project on a difficult site). Ever the pragmatist, Vinny always came up with solutions to the most difficult, and it was always delivered with confidence and a touch of humour. There wasn't a moment where we didnt laugh together! My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends and the staff of WCA. May he rest in peace.

I was very sorry to hear of Vinnie's passing. My deepest condolences to Ann, Aoife and Eoin who were his pride and joy.

I have such lovely memories of Vinnie from those early days in Aer Rianta. He looked after Martina and I so well. He was always great humoured, and brought a glint of mischief when he was around. He was such a stalwart in the community. He gave back so much, a wonderful example and role model to us all.

He was a force of nature and we shall miss him so much in the office.
