Olave, Robert, and Violet's family, my sincere condolences. Violet was an inspiration to so many of us in Guiding and Scouting. She was so dedicated and I learned so much from her while working with her on various committees. She was a great friend also, and we enjoyed some lovely days out. A guiding light has been extinguished - rest in peace now Violet with your beloved Bill.
My deepest condolences to Violet's loving family. I've had the pleasure of knowing her for as long as I can remember through Joint Committee activities over the years with fond memories of sitting with Violet and the late Colin sorting out the Panto seating, feeding the youth members and leaders in Farran Woods and Saturday nights at Ventact. Violet, you will be missed, but your guiding light will shine on in all who knew you.

Mrs Warner was a wonderful teacher and a force to be reckoned with! Over her long life, she was one of life's givers; she not only taught in Ashton (and before that in Cork Grammar and High School), she also ran the school canteen and was the back-up to the school nurse. Outside of education, her contribution to guiding with the Irish Girl Guides was immense, and she gave of her time, energy and talents to the various parishes that she was a dedicated and faithful parishioner of: St Peter's Church Carrigrohane, then St Luke's Church at St Luke's Cross and, when that closed, St Anne's Church Shandon - all done for the benefit of others. An inspiring, and sometimes formidable, woman who influenced so many. May she rest in peace.
We are very sorry to hear of Violet’s passing. Violet made an enormous contribution to Ashton School, not only as a mathematics teacher, but in many other roles as well. We were really delighted when she joined us for our 50th anniversary celebration in March. We will remember her with admiration and gratitude for all she dd. Violet will be greatly missed. We extend our sincere sympathy to her family.

Mrs Warner in a long life so well lived you epitomised the words of Helen Keller. Your motivation whether in front of a classroom, on a committee or in a guide camp was always to encourage others to find their strengths. Thank you.
May your family and friends keep your spirit alive, and find comfort in memories of happy times spent with you. Rest peacefully.

Sincere sympathy to all Violet's family. An incredible lady, a privilege to have known her.
I can identify with almost all of the condolence messages that have been written to date about Violet. I was involved in education during her time as a teacher and whilst I did not know her personally at that stage, I was aware of the positive impact she had on her students. It was through Guiding that our paths crossed. I realise now that she was ahead of her time as she encouraged young women to believe in themselves and achieve their potential. She will remain a legend.
Our sincere sympathies to Violet's family and her guiding sisters on her death. Sue visited her thur and was delighted she did as they struck up a friendship when they went into St. LUKE’S HOME. They were on a committee together.. I have fond memories of been in guide camps under Violet's guidance. Thinking of you all at this time
