May Violet rest in peace and rise in glory. She was very much part of our family's life as children in Glenarriff Road to now. I have many happy memories of her and Gerard and the whole Garda family.I will offer mass for the repose of her soul in my parish in Osterley, London.

Violet was first a neighbour but soon became a true friend of our family. Each time we came to visit Dublin, she welcomed us with all her warm heart. We will always remember this generous, loving and marvellous lady.

I'm very sorry to hear the loss of Violet, I have nothing but such fond memories of her & Gerard, she was an absolute lady. When we would go on our holidays to Dublin with granny gildea, Violet would bring us all over, too the markets, to blanchardstown, Phoenix park even to the cinema to see the flintstones, we had great times with them both.
