To Vi's sons and to the extended Hoffman family, sending heartfelt sympathies on the loss of your mum. We are all saddened to hear of Vi's passing.

A true lady, generous and wise, and a wonderful neighbour to our family & all families in the cul de sac. I feel like Waltham Terrace has lost its matriarch, its grandmother!

Our family will keep very fond memories of Vi and of her coming to rescue us from multiple mishaps; whether it running across the road as my brother attempted to climb of a window as a toddler, nursing us or sounding the alert if we fell as we played, and patiently teaching me about plants and gardening, or "employing" a gang of kids to do "jobs", along with Peg and Mrs. Bryson, when parents schemed ways to keep us out of the house. Later, it was providing a spare key when we locked ourselves out, more patience with the antics of teenagers, (or the occasional unauthorised party) and having chats as she walked her dogs, all the while keeping an eye if needed. Everyone who grew up on our road is indebted to her.

Rest in peace Vi, I hope you are happily reunited with Bob & Andrew in a heavenly garden. With love and thanks.

It was a privilege to have known Vi.
She was special and will leave a void in many hearts.
We bonded over our shared love of dogs - Mollie will miss Vi's cuddles and the occasional piece of food that just happened to fall...
