I was sad to learn about Vivien's passing. I first met my cousin Vivine during Open Week of the Centenary year at the Island Golf Club. She had a fabulous golf game and the requisite sense of humour that goes along with the game. I enjoyed our visit when she joined us in Canada for a home at home week. I hope tee times are plentiful in heaven! She is missed.
Sincere sympathy to Vivian's many golfing friends. We had lots of fun both on and off the golf course. Rest in peace Vivien.
I have so many fond memories of playing piano accompanying Vivien over the years in many a Captains night and several pantomimes in Castle. I smiled when the requiem hymns were accompanied on electronic keyboards. May she find her just reward in heaven. Rest in Peace Viv.
Vivian.to sleep perchance to dream.golf is proud of you. Your friend Brian has told me about you.
Many happy memories of playing bridge with Vivien. Always delighted with a win. A great competitor. May she rest in peace.
Vivien really was part of the furniture in Castle Golf Club and was sadly missed around the clubhouse and course when her health necessitated her move to Orwell.
I enjoyed many years of competitive Sunday golf and subsequent G&T's with her and always enjoyed the rare occasions I won the money from her. It was fun to be paired with her and if you happened to be playing well a treat to be told "well done lass" especially if you helped her win the money! Buster Wallis was also a regular feature on a Sunday in the Car Park and he brought her so much joy.
She lived her life well. Rest in Peace Viv.

My Deepest Condolences to all who had the pleasure of getting to know Vivien and spending time with her both on and off the course. We were lucky enough to have gone on many golfing trips over the years, and I smile now as I remember the fun and laughter, care and kindness, G&T's, and her fabulous sense of direction. May she rest in peace.
Such fond memories of Vivien over the years. She was one of life's great characters. She took me and my sister Frances 'under her wing', in the early 70s, when we played alongside her as 'newbies', in the Leinster Ladies Alliance. Vivien often ferried us to and from matches, was such great fun to be with, and was a fine golfer and fierce competitor. Our paths again crossed in 1986 when I joined the Island Golf Club. Vivien was then an esteemed member and former Lady Captain but was more (in) famous for her hilarious, burlesque and witty renditions which would bring the house down on Lady Captain's nights. We crossed paths again in 2016 when I joined the Castle GC. Vivien was still enjoying the cards and her G&Ts and winning at the Bridge table. She will be sadly missed for her great sense of humour, that unforgettable laugh, her intelligence, charm, keen wit, as well as for her enormous contribution to both the Island and Castle golf clubs. Sincere condolences to her family, neighbours, and her dear Golf and Bridge friends. Rest peacefully Vivien. Patricia and Frances

Our deepest sympathies to Vivien’s family, from her neighbours on Merlyn Park. We grew up across the road from “Mrs Wallis’s house”. As very young children, myself and my three sisters were sometimes invited in by Vivienne and Meriel for soft drinks and biscuits, in their fine drawing room. Vivienne was always kindly and gracious to us, and she is fondly remembered. May she rest in peace.
Sincere sympathy to Vivien's friends and family

Dear Vivien, thank you for the encouragement when we took up the game in the 80s. You were amazing support. As we progressed and the handicaps fell you were there with details of the Leinster Ladies Alliance. Oh what great fun on a cold frosty Sunday morning as we sought to terrorize the men of Leinster!! It was the ultimate way of keeping the game together over winter. So thank you Vivien..a legend in Irish Ladies Golf. God Bless. Now based in UK I will pitch up to Frilford Heath and join your Mass online and give Thanks for knowing you. Rest in Peace and may God hold you in the palm of his hand until we meet again
Deepest sympathy to all of Vivien's family, friends and neighbours. Vivien was a gentle kind lady, our past lady captain, a great golfer and a wonderful bridge player.

Vivien was a wonderful lady and member of The Island, I had many dealings with her during my tenure as an officer of the Club and Vivien was always a very positive, progressive and friendly person to work with during that period.
May she now rest in eternal peace.
