We were very sad to hear of Walter's passing. I have many fond memories from the Fayer household in St. Luke's and I regret that I didn't get to bring the kids over to meet Uncle Walter. We've all lost a lovely man.

Our hearts are broken here in Philadelphia. My Uncle Walter. When I was last in Cork in 2024, I nearly took a taxi from town up to Blackpool and onward to Mayfield...of course Walter was there in a jiffy to move me, teenage Andrew, and heavy suitcases. Of course he was. Full of stories for Andrew about driving places with my grandad Connie Pa. Back in 2007, he blew the top off of my wedding reception in Portugal - he was incredible. Although I knew him my whole life, I had NEVER seen him sing like that - he was a man posessed and the party took off. Every single time I am in Ireland, I end up at Aunty Eugenie's. They always have an incredible spread, and they always make me laugh. The way Eugenie and Walter would go back and forth with each other was always priceless. I would always leave with some random quote of their banter that stayed with me. My god my gorgeous cousins. Vourneen and Ellen - with you being a few years younger than Kate (RIP) and I, I still picture the two of you as toddlers, my own personal porceline dolls. And my god the two of you became such gorgeous, kind and fun adults. It's in the blood. James is much younger than me. He was only a young one when I was in Cork up to all kinds of no good at the Jazz Fest and elsewhere. James called my mom his "Aunty Granny Carol Ann in America":) Around age 20 I was up in Henchy's with Grandad and Uncle Walter. Just the 3 of us. Out for pints. I had a Murphy's with milk. Heartbroken for you all.

Though I have not seen uncle Walter in a great many years, I have vivid and clear memories of him from my many sleepovers with Vour and Ellen. The first thing that comes to mind is his smile, and how gentle and kind he always was. It's a huge loss to everyone that was lucky enough to have met him. I'm sending my condolences and all of my love across the sea from Newfoundland. ❤️

He was such a wonderful person and we loved him dearly,lots of love from Ber and Rose
