He had , from what I understand ( from chatting to Dick) a difficult health experience of late , my deepest condolences on his passing to his extended family. My sincerest condolences to all the Skelton family on Walter's passing. I have the fondest memories of him as the fairest of men from when I worked under him at Diesel Services Ltd so many years ago. As a raw apprentice I learned much from Walter's patience and fair treatment even though I am sure I tried his patience at times. I am living in Finland now but I carry the memories with me yet, more than 50 years down the road.

Wally was a true gentleman. He was always interested in people of all ages and walks of life and what they had to say which is a rare quality. He loved his family and being in their company - both the younger and older members. We know he is a great loss to the family and our thoughts are with them at the passing of such a patriarch. May he rest in peace and finally be back with his beloved wife Joy whom he missed greatly.
