I have many fond memories of Wally, growing as children both as neighbors Belvedere Avenue / Sherrard street together with schooling in St. Canices CBS down NCR. And as fellow Members of the SFXBC. Our paths cross many times over the past 50 years in and around Binns Bridge / Drumcondra. And by sheer co- incidence my wife worked with his late sister, Anne and Jimmy Bates way back in time. A quietly mannered person and a true gentleman, May He Rest in Peace.
