Sally, Andrew and Kate, we were terribly shocked to hear the awful news of Wally's sudden passing. Our sincerest condolences at this devestating time. We are abroad at present and so unfortunately will not be able to join you tomorrow to pay tribute to a wonderful Railway clubman. Many were the very enjoyable days shared with Wally playing cricket, hockey and especially bowls. He was always in good form and up for a laugh.

Elisha & myself had the pleasure on many occasions of meeting Wally when he visited Victor & Grainne in Granard. He had a brilliant sense of humour & was a very lovable character.
