Absolutely gut punched to have learned of Wayne's passing. A wonderful human gone way too soon.

Having worked with Wayne for a few years he was just an absolute joy to have worked alongside and no problem was ever too small to have helped with (and no hot sauce spicy enough to cause a sweat).

Will always remember our Friday lunches off-site with the fondest memories.

I worked with Wayne at APC for many years and I have asked him many times to fix something for me, and he did so in seconds with a joke and a smile, telling me he was renovating the sitting room for his wife or the sports achievements of his kids, or explaining his tatoos or slagging me because I don't like spices! He was a true gent, happy to help wherever he could and always with a huge smile. I remember the day he tried his first croissant, we still have a picture of the moment in the kitchen! A memory we still talk about to this day. He was massively proud of his family and spoke about you all every day. The world has lost an amazing person, he will be truly missed.

A number of years ago, DJ and Leah, joined Lusk AC as small kids, just at a time when the numbers in the club were growing rapidly. Wayne and Sharon often stayed at training to watch. But soon, Wayne became part of the coaching team. He was a great coach and became a huge cog in the wheel of the club. He brought warmth and fun to training and treated every kid as if they were his own, gently encouraging them to do their best and enjoy running. With Sharon joining Fit4Life and Brianna joining LA, the Riley family became yet another family who formed part of the club. Wayne's death has shocked and saddened us coaches and members. We were fortunate enough to know a man full of energy, laughter, and fun. It's difficult to put into words sometimes how you see a person, but I think Wayne's Instagram picture expresses the close bond we all had with him. May he rest in peace. Our sincerest sympathy to Sharon, Aaron, DJ, Leah, Brianna and all your family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Our Deepest sympathies from the Darcy family to you all. Wayne and i made so many childhood memories together growing up between st cronans and glassmore through the 80's and 90's and it was always a pleasure to call wayne a friend. A tragic loss which will be felt for a long time to come.
