My late father John Henry Kinch knew him from Dooks Golf Club and they would often share a lot of stories and banter at the 19 th hole.

Wonderful memories of WD and family visiting ours on Christmas Days past. Having made their salutations, “Greetings Doctor!” and “Hello Manager!” our dads would retire to the drawing room with cigars and a drop if Irish. It is nice to think of them reunited now with their wonderful wives as they toast lives lived to the full. WD was as large as life itself and it was a privilege for anyone to have known him. Our sincere condolences to all the family. May he rest in peace.

Dear Dermot
It is with deep regret that we have learned of the death of your father WD RIP
I spent many enjoyable days with him in Dooks Golf Club and other golf clubs as well.
I acted as his “chauffeur “ amongst others around the county during my annual August holidays. We enjoyed many great days and nights. One particular memory stands out; having attended the Brothers Golf Competition Press Conference in Kenmare we proceeded to HealyRea’s pub in Kilgarvan where we continued to tipple and play darts (poorly let me add) until an early hour.
He was one off special person and we are all poorer for his passing.
No doubt himself and the good”Doctor” will renew hostilities and friendly banter in their new surroundings.
We send you and your siblings and extended family our deepest sympathies.
I very much regret not being able to attend the obsequies as we are attending Ann’s brothers funeral in Roscommon.
