Condolences to the Weinhold Family & to all at PPI on Lutz’s passing. He has a great character & left an immense positive impact. I worked with him on behalf of Hollister in Ballina. He was always very professional & a pleasure to meet. May he rest in peace.

Kay may we offer you our deepest sympathies and to Joerg, Mark, Ingo and Rudi at this difficult time. As you know I worked in the R&D Dept. of PPI under Lutz from 1987 until he retired. One can truly say that he always lived life to the very full. A Big Man with an impressive presence, bewies er doch immer seinen selbstbewussten, zielstrebigen, direkten, spontanen und motivierten Charakter. His conviction was always to do things his way and only his way. He was a very stolzer Deutscher (oder Sachse wie er sich selbst beschreiben würde), having left Germany more than 50 years ago he remained German in some many ways aber es war definitiv hier in Irland, seinem jetzigen Heimatland mit Ihnen, Ihrer Familie und Ihren Freunden, wo sein Leben und seine Arbeit erfüllt wurden und sein Herz geblieben ist. Like so many ausgewanderte Deutsche whom have made Ireland home, he became more Irish than us Irish. His phrases like, “Come guy, we go now” and “OK do it now, guy” will to me epitomise so much of the Being, Ethos & Spirit that was the man Mr Lutz Weinhold.
