My condolences to you all upon hearing of the passing of uncle Wesley. Sometimes I think of auntie Joy because she passed away so long ago, she used to say to me 'it is not polite for a young lady to whistle a tune indoors', inevitably I couldn't fathom the logic about whether it could be permissible outdoors or not! Tin whistle practice with me as a learner was difficult for anyone around with functioning ears! With Uncle Wesley passing and a few others over the more recent years I'm grieved that I didn't enjoy more of your company, I've always missed not being in touch more often. Such are the ways of the passage of time, priorities around keeping up with extended family can be complicated as my immediate extended family including both sides might number up to 1,000 strong!
Dear God; for Uncle Wesley remember Psalm 23, with much thanks-givings, Amen.
— Rachel
Wesley and Joy were an inspiration to me when I first had the pleasure of getting to know them in Fairview Hall. I was very sorry to hear that Wesley had passed away. He was a principled and devout gentleman. I send my sincere condolences to Neville, Darryl, Trevor and the family. God bless you all. Reunited with Joy, may Wesley rest in peace, and rise in glory.
— Andrea Patterson

It was wonderful to have Wesley as an elder of mine as a very new believer in Christ while I attended Fairview Hall from 2003 to 2008. He was always so encouraging towards me and also Joy was such a blessing too in the short time I knew her. Praise God they are together in glory now.
— Sean McDonnell
My deepest sympathies to you Darryl, Trevor, Neville, Karen, Charlene, Hazel-Ann and all the family and friends of Uncle Wesley. Mum and I watched the service online due to COVID. What a beautiful tribute it was, full of appreciation and joy for his life. The photos of your dad and Aunty Joy were very touching, and his connection to his grandchildren was so evident. My thoughts are with you all at this time.

Your dad was such a godly man and a wonderful example to so many of how we should follow and serve our Saviour. I know he missed Joy terribly after she was called home. Deepest Condolences to Darryl & Karen and all the Pigott family on the passing of Wesley.
We have very fond memories of meeting Wesley over the years at Furney family days out. Wesley welcomed us into his home many a time in Malahide & Oldtown.
We had great chats about the good old days when his memory wasn’t so good. Telling us stories as far back as when he was a child and had to hide under the stairs during air raid precautions in WW11.

Rest in peace Wesley.
