What a true gentleman Willie was! the Dulson’s used to invade Knockboy and the Pines every summer. Seeing Willy, Alice & all the cousins was a big part of the happy memories. I wish I could be with you all to celebrate Uncle Willie’s life. My overriding memory was meeting the whole Jackman Family for the first time:an instant set of cousins - particularly with Eoin and Kevin only a year either side of myself. Summers in Waterford were wonderful and a big part of my upbringing as a City boy from Liverpool !

So sorry to hear the news of Willie’s death. He was a school friend in Mount Sion of my late uncle Michael O Donoghue (Barrack Street Terrace) and a friend also of my late Mother Marie Goode nee O Donoghue. (Fern Hill Knockboy). . She was also a friend of Patty and later of Alice as members of Waterford Flower Club.
They were both residents of Havenwood until its closure .It was always a pleasure to meet Willie when I visited Mum. A real gentleman. May he rest in peace. Sincere condolences to all the family from the Goode and Mannix families.
