So sad to hear of the passing of a dear old friend Bill with whom I enjoyed 2 great years close friends and prop mates on St Pat’s Rugby team. We had a whale of a time playing, training laughing and singing . He was loved by sll of us in the College

It was with a heavy heart that we heard of Bill's passing. Sincere condolences to all the Keanes and the Redmond family at this most difficult time. Bill was such a lively unassuming person. He was so much part of my life growing up next door at the Quarry Cross. He was always smiling and full of chat and fun with a zest for life that shone from within. I remember him taking me to school on my first day and telling me what to do and where to go. I will never forget the good times in the bog and back at the Quarry. Bill you truly were a lovely kind man and a treasured friend. Always in our hearts. Rest in peace. Ní imithe uainn ach imithe romhainn.

Our heartfelt condolences to all the Keane family on the sad loss of Bill. We have wonderful memories of times spent in the company of Bill in Portlaoise many years ago. Thado ,Paudie & ourselves would be on our way to Dublin to one of the many football matches in Croke Park involving Kerry and you could be guaranteed a good sing song in O'Donoghues on the way up. And again on the way home win lose or draw...there would be a repeat session. Lots of Kerry supporters would stop off and join in. Bill would be singing to his hearts content and would be trying to keep the party going. Such great times and some great memories. He was a pure gentleman. Bill will be sadly missed by his family and his many many friends. May his gentle soul Rest in Peace with Max. Richie & Breeda

With his laughter, songs and story telling Bill dispelled our sometimes exaggerated worries while never making capital of his own travails. I had the privilege of playing a few games on Bill long ago and we both survived to recall the encounters. Bill was a wonderful friend to our dad (Tado) and felt more like an uncle than a family friend to us. Time with Bill was always a pleasure - on our drives between Whitebridge and town, he always had a good yarn and took a genuine interest in us and what we were up to. He celebrated many important events with us and was always the highlight of our sing songs. Bill’s humour, warmth, interest in life and others and that wonderful laugh will all be deeply missed. Sending our love and thoughts to Bill’s family and his wide circle of friends. Ní bheidh a leithéad arís ann.
