So sorry to hear of Bill's sad death. I first met him when he was a leader in the 35th Dublin Scouts, Donore Avenue. He was always so kind and interested in everyone's welfare. Later when I was organising the past member get togethers for the 35th, he was always first to reply and always attended with lots of photographs from his time in the scouts. Bill was a complete gentleman. May he rest in peace.

Sincere condolences to Paula, Jack and all of the Lawlor family on the sad passing of Bill, a true gentleman, may he Rest in Peace
So sad to hear of Bill's death. We met Bill through our Brother David. He was a great support to David when his beloved wife Mary died and the Gough family got to know Bill through many family occasions. We all developed a great fondness for Bill straight away, he was such a kind gentleman with a great sense of humour. We always enjoyed his company. Bill connected with young & old. My son Ciaran followed the Dubs with David & Bill and so enjoyed Bills company.

Gaye Mulhair née Gough.
Liam, sorry to hear about the passing of your dad. A true gentleman with a kind and thoughtful heart. May he rest in peace with his beloved Cartmel.
Grainne, Paula & Liam,

I can safely say I'm speaking for all my generation of Donnybrook Scouts and the extended Lea Road, Crecent and Guilford Ave gang when I say we loved Bill and we'll miss him.
We can never underestimate the time he gave us or what he taught us - whether that be through scouting, debating 70's and 80's Dublin football (He loved Mullins, I loved O Toole!), plucking the banjo to "Piddling Pete", chatting about life in general during the thousands of lifts he gave us to scout events and away matches or through the first start he gave so many of us on one of his sites.
So many stories...such an impact on so many of us...so yourself and Carmel can look down with pride - you made the lovliest of impressions on us all, in your own gentle way. Ar dheis de go raibh do anam mo chara.
Liam, Grainne, Paula and extended family, our heartfelt condolences on the passing of Bill.

Bill was a great family friend and neighbour.

A silversmith by trade, if my memory hasn't abandoned me, his great attention to detail carried through to his building company. Bill gave much appreciated employment and trade starts, to neighbours and friends, when times were tough.

We remember his love for the Dubs, and the Dubliners, and him plucking at his banjo of an evening. Always a great man for the chat and stories, you could only ever leave his company with a smile.

Rest in peace Bill.
Paula, I'm so sorry for your loss. I'll be thinking of you and the family at this time.

Siobhan Hearty
