I have fond memories of visiting Bill and Mary in their book- filled sitting room, the purpose of my visits being Vincent de Paul related….but there was always time for some stories from Bill, in that lovely soft-spoken voice of his, about his career in journalism, what life was like in Navan when he was growing up, and of how proud he was of you his children. I know too that he was very appreciative of your great care and concern for him in very recent years.
Bill gave so generously of his talents to SVP Navan, to mention a few, his ability to pen a brilliant publicity article on our behalf, his innovative fundraising initiatives, his subtle recruitment campaigns for new members…we were blessed to have Bill among our membership.

I have fond (sort of!) memories of conversations we shared about the emergence of modern technology in newsrooms many decades ago.
