Deepest sympathies to Bill's family, friends, colleagues, classmates and loved ones. May he rest in peace.
We are deeply saddened by the passing of a friend and colleague, Bill. A dedicated maths teacher and mentor, he inspired countless students and left a lasting legacy in the community. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. Bill will be greatly missed.
Deepest sympathy to Joanne, Will, sister, brothers, nieces & nephews and the extended family on your terribly sad loss of Bill RIP.
It was with deep sadness that I learned that Bill had passed away. He was a perfect gentleman and it was a pleasure to both communicate with and to work with him.
In his role with the NCCA, Bill was most helpful to the members and to the Executive of the Irish Agricultural Science Teachers Association/ IASTA, over a number of years, as both sides strived to get the New Specifications for Leaving Certificate Agricultural Science implemented by the D.E.S. and taught in the classroom.
Bill remained on for at least a year after his retirement in order to complete this task. This was deeply appreciated by IASTA.
Such was the dedication and committment and endurance of Bill, that the teaching of the New Specifications became a reality in September 2021.
On a personal level, we became very good friends and we had long chats on the phone at night discussing education matters and more. Alas Covid seemed to have cut off our contact......Bill was a truly great person.
May the gentle soul of Bill Rest in Peace.
George Dennis, ex National Chairperson, Irish Agricultural Science Teachers Association / IASTA.

He joined the staff in 1986 which coincided with the transition to lay Principalship and, together with the other members of staff, Bill played a significant role in facilitating the process.

Deepest sympathy to Joanne and Will on the passing of your wonderful dad, Bill. From his years as a teacher in the Patrician Academy, Mallow, it was an honour for me to have shared many paths and friends together in Education. Both of us journeyed from Mallow to the NCCA - Bill to 'Project Maths' and I to Biology. Through that journey, Bill introduced both my wife Colette and I to your Mam, Mary. It was catch up time when they called to our home in Mallow whenever they passed. He was a man of deep faith and commitment with a sharing heart of gold. May his faith guide him now to his eternal reward with your Mam, Mary. Ar Dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílís.

Bill, I would say, was the central nub of our disparate group. We all loved him deeply. He will be very very sorely missed by us all.

I was saddened today to watch the funeral Mass of a very dear friend. We have been friends for nearly 50 years having met in 1976 when I was at Singore Girls School 2 miles away from St. Patrick’s Iten where Bill was teaching. Our friendship developed through Bills love of sport including athletics. I travelled with the girls team and Bill with the boys team to many athletics events in Kenya. We have stayed in touch through all the ups and downs of our lives since then.
Out contact recently has been very much improved by regular zoom conversations. He was a constant in my life , a good friend whom I will miss greatly. My love to Will and Joanna.
Rest in peace Bill. Jude and Clare.

My deepest sympathy to Joanna and Will, and to all the Lynch family. I first met Bill as in Mt St. Joseph as a 12 year on his first day in secondary school. His young secondary school starting age alone marked him out as a boy of considerable academic ability. Over the years of secondary school and university Bill's generosity, helpfulness, and considerable ability was shown in many ways. Most of all he was a loyal friend. I will miss him.
