My sincerest condolences to the family of my Uncle Bill (brother of my deceased mother Esther) of Erin Vale, New Ross. Deepest sympathies to Mary, John, Margaret and Liam, and the many relatives in Ireland and around the world.
My memories go back to approx 1964 when he visited our family in London Ontario and bought us kids a horse racing game that me and my brother enjoyed for ages afterwards.
I saw him twice when I visited the homestead in 1985 and 1986 on various youthful tours. He had a wonderful sense of humour and along with Helen was very accommodating to this traveler. I enjoyed participating in a small farm task in moving the cows from one grazing field to another. The "lads" seemed to not sense I didn't know what I was doing.
Bill was the last of my Mom's generation and I will pray for him with very fond memories.
