Fond memories of Mr. Murphy. Kind thoughtful teacher.
Oh I am so sorry to hear of Billy’s passing he was the best teacher a person could want. He was compassionate and funny and all the St Anne’s girls loved him. I remember he was teaching a maths class and I decided to mitch and go and play hockey . I had to sneak past the window unfortunately my hockey stick was sticking up and he saw it moving along on its own. He grabbed it and next thing I was trough the window on my ass the whole class was in knots and every time I looked at Billy ever after that we would fall around in stitches … a huge influence on my time in school I adored him he was so kind
Condolences to your family.
What a wonderful maths and geography teacher you were.
Sincere condolences Dave, Naomi, Donacha, Susie and Ann. Bill was a beautiful human being and it was our great pleasure to have known him. New Year’s Eve has not been the same without his flute playing and his great sense of fun. Thankfully we will always have some memory of Bill from his talent as a photographer. Thinking of you all at this time. RIP sweet Bill.
Mr Murphy instilled a lifelong love of geography in me, what a wonderful teacher. He was also a lovely neighbour
to us in Ballinteer. An absolute gentleman, RIP Mr Murphy
