Bill had the distinction of being one of the two members of the first Naval Service Cadet Class. I can remember being brought as a school boy to visit the Murray family at Rushbrooke, Co. Cork in the late 1950's. Later, when I was older, I got to know Bill a little more. He was very bright, had a sharp wit and a laconic sense of humour. He was great company. He was also a kindly man and very Christian in his beliefs. He will be missed. May he rest in peace.
