We came to Sri Lanka, to stay for a while,
A beautiful place, the land of the smile.

The adventure amazing, the sights to see,
Elephants and Budda, flowers and tea.

Grandad loved it, he enjoyed every day,
Little did we know, he was destined to stay.

Along our journey, to help us through,
We found two friends, like brothers its true.

As we were leaving, all homeward bound,
A sorrow befell us, deep and profound.

And ten years later he found us again,
That angel of death and his arrow of pain.

So Grandad left us, in a matter of hours,
In this land of the smile and its beautiful flowers.

So sorry to hear that Billy has passed. Had the brief pleasure of knowing him for a couple of years. As he knew my father for many years dealing with him through the motor Trade. He was an absolute gentleman to know. Condolences to his family at this sad time. R.I.P

Billy was one of a kind. Growing up across the road and being in the house so much with Jeanette was always fun. Billy and Angela were always up for a laugh. He has been an amazing neighbour especially to our mam over the last few months. The road will never be the same again.

Billy, I will forever miss you and our near monthly Chats in St Ed's roadway's. It was always Great to meet you and have a Good talk. Rest easy.
