Condolences to Billys family on his passing. A true gentleman and a great ambassador of the game of Pitch and Putt. I last met Billy in his beloved Royal Meath last year for the National Mixed Foursomes, he was smiling as always . May he rest in peace.

So So sorry to learn of the sad passing of Billy while we were watching our former player Ray Murphy win yet another National Matchplay title on PPUI website over the weekend. John Manning's fitting tribute brought back treasured memories of our chat's with Billy over many years on courses all over the country. In 2005 Billy travelled down to see at Templebreedy when the Dept.Of Defence decided suddenly to close our picturesque course overlooking Cork Harbour.Over the following 7 years Billy was very supportive of us in our long battle with the D.O.D.to get our unique amenity back up and running but eventually sadly we had to give up the fight in 2012.Billy still did not forget us after that,there was always a card in the door at Christmas time.An absolute Gentleman and a wonderful ambassador for the game of Pitch & Putt down through the years,he will be greatly missed.To his Wife,Mary Daughters,Carol and Linda,Son,Liam,Sister,Catherine and Brother,Patrick Our Deepest Sympathy is Extended,May Billy's gentle Soul Rest in Peace.
