I am very sorry to hear of Billy's passing. I met Billy 26 years ago when I started working in Trinity College. In all that time I found him to be a gentleman and I always enjoyed catching up with him over the years after his retirement.

I am sorry to hear the news of Billy’s death. He was such a fount of common sense and good humour as a colleague in Trinity College Library. I enjoyed his warm and friendly chats at all hours and will remember them fondly. My condolences to Billy’s family, especially in these difficult times.
