Our paths crossed wait back in the 1970s as work colleagues with PO Engineering Branch / Telecom Eireann based in Dublin City District. This association continued right into the 1980s through our involvement with PO Engineers / Telecom Engineers Golf Society.He’ll now link up once more with his great pal , Cyril and recall great sporting days of Gaelic, Soccer and of course Golf. It is with great sadness to learn about the death of uncle Liam . His and Josephine’s generosity to their Derry relatives during the troubles was incredible and will always be greatly appreciated. During the years when they lived in Sligo, many holidays were enjoyed by the Derry clan in the 70s. Uncle Liam was MC in the evening time in his front room and got all his children, nieces and nephews perform their songs etc. Liam believed everyone had a talent ! He and Josephine will always be remembered for their kindness, hospitality and appreciation for others. Rest in peace Liam 💖

Sad to hear of this loss. I worked with Liam for several years, he was a valued colleague, but my abiding memory is of a meal in Dresden, he brought great charm to the party.

I'm very sorry to hear that dear Liam has died. He was a kind, gentleman, a lovely man, so kind and so funny and a a terrific tenor in the Seapark Convent Choir for years. I remember his eyes twinkling with fun when something funny happened at rehearsals.

He was a great supporter of both golf and the social activities of Malahide golf club, and he also played a key role in the redevelopment of the Yellow nine. One of my great memories is Liam trying to conduct a choir of 40 inebriated MEGGS singing the 12 days of Xmas at our annual party. We are sorry to miss the funeral mass, but we will tune in to the live streaming in Portugal.
