I knew Billy when I was young, a lovely person sorry to hear of his passing.

The fairways always the same
So too bunkers of golden sand
A silhouette stands on eighteen
Dress collaged in Pink yellow and green.

Smoke plumes from his favourite cigar
Tossed to the ground in selective  thought
Into summers breeze one eighty to go
Pulls out the persimmon let's it flow.

A high flighted Angel catcher
A shot He described to by name
Lands like a butterfly to six feet
Beautiful moment Beautiful game.

Through his veins Slade blood flowed
For Three decades plus on the hill
Overseen victories, halves and losses
Time for Billy Fitz seemed to stand still.

You'll be sadly missed our friend
You've left a legacy true and true
We'll remember you in bright pink
Always positive never Blue.
