My sincere condolences to Peggy, Suzanne and Thomas and extended families. Sorry I couldn't be there for the funeral but I watched it on Webcam. Thomas, you did a brilliant Eulogy of your dad's life, you did him proud. I enjoyed on many occasions in recent years dancing with Liam in Durrow, even when he was into his 90's. I used to ask him up for my favourite 'Old Time Waltz' but he said 'no, it's hard on the hips' so he chose the quick-step which he did brilliantly. I've no doubt his love of dancing contributed to him living to such a great age.

Bill and our dad were comrades in the army but I mostly got to know him as I cycled past the house to do Brannigan's garden. I always admired the way he kept the hedges. We had lovely chats, most recently when I was canvassing for the election. He was repairing a lawnmower.
