He was an integral part of a Clongorey GFC squad that enjoyed much success in the late seventies. Small in stature, Ned always gave his ‘whole heart’ when on the field of play; off it he’d express his considered opinions in a sincere and respectable way when he felt things needed to be said.

Ah it’s so tough, truly heartbreaking, for you all, especially the added grief for ye, on the death of Neds sister Brigid, who died only a few weeks ago.
May both of their souls be reunited now, with their very hard working, wonderful, parents, who pre deceased them and may they all now be resting in a well earned eternal peace.
