He was a fine, brave, courageous, good willing, honest and committed Christian. A good husband and father. My sincerest sympathy and may his gentle soul rest in heaven. When I get out of hospital, I will be in touch with you all. Suaimhneas síoraí dá anam uasal.

We are really saddened to hear about your father and father in law’s passing away. Losing an immediate family member is one of those difficult things we can experience.

Sincere sympathies to Roisin and family on thr death of Bill. In the past we were colleagues in the North British Insurance Company where we spent many happy years. Later Bill valued this friendship so much that he was instrumental in arranging a monthly meeting in Bewleys Hotel Ballsbridge which we all valued particularly at Christmas time.

Dear Róisín, sincere condolences to you and all the extended family on the death of Bill. He was an extraordinary man. I was lucky to meet him at the start of my working life. A Gentle Man in every sense. With a steel core when it came to standards and principles. A great and wicked sense of humour. A great story teller. He was a great teacher, tutor and mentor to so many in Hibernian and so many more in his interest areas outside work. There will be a large welcoming party at The Gate. May he rest in the peace and tranquility he so well deserves and has earned.
