William Reilly

Sincere condolences to the Reilly family on the passing of Willie. I have memories of him as a goalkeeper with the Rory O'Moores and as a singer with the Moonlight Serenaders Showband in the 60's. He and my father (Aiden) worked for many years together in Bostick in the old military barracks on Barrack Hill in Belturbet. RIP

Rest in peace Willie ( with your golden voice....I hope there are some recordings) warm memories of Willie's many visits to our home before he headed for ' the bright lights of the city' ......from Belturbet to The Berkeley Hotel ........ .many many years later on a work assignment I had the pleasure of meeting Willie in the Berkeley.

Willie was so well liked and appreciated by all his neighbours here in Kirwan Street Cottages. He will be very much missed.

Only met and chatted with him a couple of weeks ago In the Sacred heart ward he was as passionate as ever about his beloved Cavan, and promised me he would show me photos of his band.
