I am deeply sorry to hear of Bill's passing. My sincere condolences to his wife Marie, daughters Tanya, Fiona and Yvonne and extended family.

During our time at Garda Headquarters, Bill was a pleasure to work with and always a real professional.

He was an ardent Mayo supporter with a longing for the county to win that elusive fourth All Ireland.

Above all, Bill was a true gentleman.
