William (Wilk) KENNEDY

Wilk was my teacher for many years. He gave me a love of the form and discipline i carry with me in my work today as an actor. He was the real deal - pure and crystallised and passionate and he was patient with his pupils as they found and honed that same passion. He made a difference with his Art. My deep condolences.

Will was my favourite teacher at Betty Ann Norton . He taught for years until I was too old to attend there. He taught me mine , theatre and Shakespeare every year during the summer school term, if his name was on the list it was my favourite day . What I will miss , is his kindness , hi seriousness to the craft and pulling jokes

Sincerest condolences to the Kennedy family on the passing of dear Wilk. I was fortunate to spend one on one time with Wilk during his final year of teaching as he guided me through my diploma. Those classes were short but have left a lasting impact and I carry the lessons he taught me throughout my life, both inside and outside the theatre. Wilk inspired me not only with his artistic skills and creativity, but through his kindness and mindfulness. I will always recall the awe and wonder I felt during his classes as he broke into spontaneous poetry, or mystified us by making something appear in our imaginations through his movement; Magic that delighted me equally as an adult as it did when I was a child. I will miss Wilk deeply. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.

This moment brought sadness.
Wilk was a inspiration to me, as he was to others, when I was starting out on my own artistic journey.
It will be my eternal regret that I never got to meet him again in his later years or indeed have the opportunity to work with him.
