Peter, So sorry to hear of Will's passing. Thinking of you and all the family at this sad time.

An absolute heartbreak. Will was so musically gifted and also gifted with a massive personality--fun-loving and outgoing, always welcoming you with a grin, always up for a chat, mischievous and clever, and, of course, funny as hell. When I saw him in June with you all--amazing brothers to take him on the trip of a lifetime--he made a crack within five minutes that had me roaring with laughter. Even through the pain of his illness, he managed to stay so positive and cheerful and hilarious. My mom remembers him very fondly too, especially when he stayed in Cleveland that one summer, and I think of him when we were kids over the years and Olive and my mom once took us to the old Jurys Hotel for dinner and we thought it was so fancy. He was a huge-hearted and kind soul, a true original. Our thoughts and love are with Colette and all the Smiths.

On behalf of our family, Rebecca, Ben and myself, we remember William — Incredibly talented, wonderfully entertaining, a true free spirit. Patience, Rebecca and Ben from Cleveland, New Jersey and Sarasota! From our family with love.

On my very first day back in Ashfield, there you were waiting for me at the end of the corridor with a cup of coffee in your hand for me. I soon learnt that that's typical you, just so kind. That was the start of a wonderful friendship that meant so much to me. I'm so glad I got to spend some time with you last week. I'll never forget you for your kindness, sense of humour & a courage that I have rarely seen before. Rest in Peace my friend.
