Rest in Peace Willliam. Your kindness, wisdom and wit will be sorely missed. We always looked forward to ‘the whistling carpenters’ early morning arrival to start a new project with Joe. Always fascinated by the knowledge and wisdom he dispensed with a fantastic wit.

Very sad to hear of Willie’s death.
I first met Willie in 1981 on a major construction project in Dublin when he was a Clerk of Works, employed by Sam Stephenson Architects. During our years working together we spent numerous hours talking about politics, sport, family, current affairs and many other topics. Sometimes Willie would have his own amusing way at looking at things. He frequently spoke of his loving wife Mary.
He was never intimidated by people in authority treating everyone with the same easy-going politeness.

I retired about ten years ago, but during my working life I never met a more decent, honest, and thoughtful person as Willie. When I worked with Willie, he wasn’t overly religious but was a man of the highest integrity.

To his wife Mary and children, I offer my deepest condolences.
May Willie’s loving soul rest in eternal peace.
