My sincere sympathy to the Keane family on the death of your dad. It was an honour to have served with him in Lebanon in 1985. That was a difficult and testing tour of duty and Willie more than met it's demands. May he rest in peace.

My heartfelt condolences to my cousins Linda, Pauline, Martina, Lorraine, Katherine, Dawn, Regina & Deirdre, Liam & Gerard, and to all of your children who will no doubt sorely miss their loving grandparents.

It won't be quite the same coming home to visit without Willie, or Phyliss anymore. I will miss them, but also be thankful for having known them, and sharing the wonderful & fun childhood memories of them both.

I hope you can all take comfort knowing Willie is reunited with your Mam, Jimmy, Caroline, and the rest of the clan. No doubt many of Willies old comrades and friends too. We will be sad but they'll all be having the craic, catching up and sharing stories.

It is with a Heavy Heart that I have just read of the Death on Willie Keane, a Former Company Sergeant of 12th Infantry Battalion, Sarsfield Barracks, Limerick of which I was a Member for a number of years. Willie was an Excellent NCO and Leader and was always available to help those with problems of any kind and his Service at Home and Overseas proves his ability to Lead others in his charge. To his entire Family, and Members of IUNVA POST 6, I offer my Sincere Condolences on Your Very Sad Loss and Pray that God will give each of you extra Strength to Bear this Heavy Cross of Loss of a Very much-loved Dad , Granddad and more as well as being a True Friend. Regretfully I am unable to attend His Funeral as I am just out of Hospital and Rehabilitation for a Knee Replacement. You are in my Thoughts and Prayers. Ar Dheis De go raibh a Anam Dilis. CUIRTEIS.
